Construction and Operation

Throughout construction and operation of the proposed solar park, British Solar Renewables is committed to ensuring that the impact to the local road network, and the local community is kept to a minimum.

Construction is expected to take approximately 12 months.

A Construction Traffic Management Plan (CTMP) will be in place to ensure the safety of all road users, including Public Rights of Way (PRoW) users, and to support visibility requirements for either access point.

Once operational, the site will generate only minimal traffic for occasional maintenance visits.

Construction Traffic Management Plan

The map above shows the construction traffic route for the proposed development. Note this is subject to Highways advice from Uttlesford District Council and feedback we receive during our public consultation to minimise local disruption.

We are currently in the process of undertaking detailed transport surveys, including Automatic Traffic Counts, and swept path assessments.

We are working closely with Uttlesford District Council to minimise disruption and do not anticipate requiring road closures for the majority of works.

Some temporary closures may be needed during cable installation, but these will be kept to a minimum wherever possible.
